ATL | Serving Atlanta's GLBT community for over 4 years

About PocketRocket

The idea was brought to us by Gary Sisney to start a pocket-sized gay guide for Atlanta. After a few drinks, Pocket Rocket Guide (shout out to Turpin Tolle) was selected for the name. After three months, many xeroxed prototypes, and a lot of learning our first published issue hit the stands, modestly uniform in black & white. The concept was a relatively simple idea, which we've successfully sustained.

When we started this adventure, we wanted to create a guide for both residents and visitors to Atlanta; a simple and direct way to see where to go, what to do, how to get there, and why Atlanta matters... without clutter. Put one in your pocket and go! Simple. Smart. Effective media.

As we celebrate our three year anniversary, Pocket Rocket Guide continues to be Atlanta's pocket-sized gay guide for gay-friendly businesses. The journey has been truly amazing, interesting, frustrating, eye-opening, learning and rewarding experience. Peoples' expectations and knowledge (and sometimes lack thereof) about print, online media, and publishing can be astounding.

Together with Rory Evans, we are proud to be part of this ever changing fabric that is Atlanta. Thank you for giving us your confidence. Thank you for believing in us. Thank you for joining us on this ride. We look forward to seeing how the future will dictate the evolution of the publication.

Please continue to support our sponsors. Let them know you saw them in the Pocket Rocket Guide! In supporting them you support our community and our mission. Believe in the Rocket! Pocket Rocket Guide has proven to be an interesting ride.

Respectfully,

Dan Bergman & Joshua Campbell
